I am Jennifer Jo Fay. Artist, writer, mother of four. I have recently self published my first mystery called Black Roses. It is now online at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, Books a Million, etc... It is about two sisters. Judy is a mother of a nine year old daughter, Beth and she has a regular job. Her sister, Sarah chooses to be a stripper/prostitute for an underground strip club, Tangoes. She has racked up her credit cards travelling and has gotten into a heap of mess. She is getting black roses and threat letters in her mailbox and all her johns are getting murdered. She's a suspect.
I recently got back from los Angeles last weekend. I went out with 150 writers for a Pitch Fest. We all got to pitch our books to seven movie producers. One was MGM. We had three minutes with each of them. I think all my pitches went really well. I wasn't nervous and they didn't interrupt me. They seemed excited as I was talking. I was over the moon with excitement. When I was done, they asked a bunch of questions. I told them that my book could be compared to Basic Instinct and Naomi Watts could be good as Sarah. One guy thought that it was a good title. One producer thought it would make a great tv show or tv movie. One producer asked me where I get my ideas and I replied, "In my head."
I was able to tell them all that I'm going down to Greenville SC in September 22nd at 10am. They want to put me on their tv station for a six minute interview about Black Roses. I am so excited. It will reach about 800,000 people.
